For those who have walked through our doors, it's no secret that Alamo Craft Company is the most "Fun To Shop"Craft Mall in San Antonio! How have we earned this reputation? By focusing on becoming the best at what we do, and enthusiastically expressing our interests, talents, and passions as we do it. A simple principle that works, because of who we are and our history.
Owner and co-founder Rhonda Christensen took a life long hobby of hand crafting to a new level twenty two years ago when she decided to become a vendor at a chain-owned craft mall. As the seasons rolled along, her skills and passion grew. When she met Kim Rairdan, a fun loving, spirited, and an enthusiastic crafter herself, like two peas in a pod they were meant to be and became the best of friends. As their creative and business skills advanced, opportunities allowed them to work together in craft mall operations and management. Realizing the need for a locally owned and operated craft mall that focused on the interests and values of both vendor and customer alike, they seized upon that opportunity when the chain-owned craft mall pulled out of San Antonio. After months of planning, hard work, and a little blood, sweat & tears, on July 31st, 2004, Alamo Craft Company opened it doors. "Team Alamo", our support staff, exemplifies our unshakable mission statement of which ~ "We promise to always offer friendly, personable, and knowledgeable service to all who walk through our doors".
